Blumenhof Winery is located on Highway 94 in the historic village of Dutzow, Missouri's oldest German settlement, founded in 1834. Blumenhof, which in German means "Court of Flowers," takes its name from the Blumenberg family's ancestral farm in northwestern Germany. German heritage is also expressed in the Missouri winery's architecture and in the warm friendly ambiance that invites visitors to "stop... and smell the Blumen."Our vineyards were established in 1979. Beginning with the first vintage in 1986, Blumenhof has been dedicated to producing and bottling an unsurpassed selection of Missouri - grown varietal wines. Over the years, these wines have won scores of awards at prominent wine competitions, including the Missouri Governor's Cup in 2011.2011 Governor's Cup Winner for Best Wine in Missouri. If you'd like to leave the cooking to us, see our Food and Beverages page for more information on our current offerings.In the late summer/early fall see our Facebook page for details on when we're crushing grapes - it's your chance to see some of the wine making process, talk to the vineyard manager and our winemaker.Indoor seating is very limited - large groups please call ahead (800 - 419 - 2245).All of Our Wine is Missouri Grown WineThere are over a hundred wineries in the state, but few produce wines from only Missouri grapes.  Increasingly Missouri wineries are trucking in bulk juice from grapes grown in other states to keep their costs down and profit margins up.We produce Missouri wines made from grapes grown within 60 miles of Dutzow.  Our main vineyard (located in Treloar, Missouri) produces about 90% of our grapes and is owned and managed by us (the rest is purchased from local Missouri vineyards).We crush, press, ferment, bottle, and label all of our wines on site in Dutzow, Missouri.
