Our most sincere thanks to everyone who has helped CGPR throughout the years, and especially to those of you who have already offered to keep helping. The more volunteers we have, the more Pyrs we can save! If you are interested in volunteering and have not already contacted us since our move, please send an email to Susan S. at: volunteer@carolinapyrrescue.comWe are looking for volunteers who will:TRANSPORT – Pyrs need rides from their original location to the kennels in Indian Trail and back and forth to vet appointments.CGPR volunteer Tracy snuggling with Avalanche.FOSTER –Kennel space is limited. The length of the fostering period is flexible. If you are interested in fostering, please complete an application athttp://www.cgpr.org/foster-dogPULL FROM SHELTERS – Animal control shelters often give us very little time to pick up a dog. We need people willing to pull dogs out of shelters in their area, often with short notice, and hold them temporarily until we can arrangetransportation to the rescue.Shannon, the new president of CGPR, with Charlie, a Pyr now in his forever home.CONDUCT HOME VISITS – Visiting the homes of prospective adoptive families is an essential part of the application process.HELP WITH EVENTS AND FUNDRAISERS – These are great opportunities to be involved no matter where you live. We have an immediate need for help with the upcoming Belk Charity Day Sale on April 30. We need volunteers to coordinate CGPR’s presence at their local BELK store and sell tickets individually or through their business in advance.VISIT THE RESCUE – The Pyrs love visitors, particularly those who can take them for walks in the neighborhood near the rescue.
