John Sewak Ray, was ordained as the first Asian priest in the ninety-eight year history of the Diocese of Atlanta. We moved to our first worship space on Lawrenceville Highway, Lilburn, the international corridor of Metro Atlanta, in December 2007. And in January 2012, we moved across the road to our larger, newly-renovated location in Lilburn Market Place. At the 2009 Annual Diocesan Council, Christ the King was welcomed as a full parish in the Diocese of Atlanta, a new, intentionally-planted, multi-ethnic congregation. Wednesdays in Lent - 6:30 pm Holy Eucharist (short) followed by Dr. Luke Timothy Johnson leading a five-part Lenten series called Practical Christianity: Letters from the Letter of James streamed live from The Cathedral of St. Phillip. Sundays in Lent - 9:00 to 10:15 am Monks 101 - Rich Sanders, our resident seminarian, leads a series on early Christian monasticism and fasting from the Desert Fathers to Benedict with an interactive on-going discussion about using this Lenten experience as a model for living.
