It is a pretty popular ride since the Carrera 4 and its Cabriolet sibling are already the 3rd and 4th models of the type 991.Porsche recently released a series of videos that explains the benefits of having a 911 that can send its power to all of its wheels. In the videos, Gordon Robertson, the chief instructor at the Experience Center of Porsche in England, explains how the machine works and how it gets you out of tricky situations.Just like the 2WD Type 991s, the new Carrera 4s are faster, lighter, and more efficient than their predecessors. The new version of the ride gets a gauge that gives the driver an idea how much torque is sent to each of the wheels. This gives the driver a sense of what it is like with the available grip.The 911 Carrera 4 is equipped with a flat-six 3.4L engine that can crank out 350 horses. The powerplant can be linked with either a 7-speed manual or a 7-speed PDK gearbox. The more potent Carrera 4S comes with a flat-six with 3.8-L displacement that can give out 400HP and also linked to the same gearbox choices.The Carrera 4 models will be hitting dealerships by the first half of 2013.By EETOP | 19.
