Forex Cashback - Rebate for FX Traders Cashback or spreadback mean a reimbursement of fees. Of course, as a Forex trader you dont have to pay any fees or commissions. However, you have to pay a spread, the difference between the buying and the selling price (bid-ask-spread) of a currency pair. And so you still have to bear some costs with every Forex trade. If you buy a currency pair such as for example EUR / USD and sell at the same moment, you will lose some money due to the spread. Typically, the spread is measured in pips the smallest unit in which a currency pair is denoted. How does Forex Cashback / Spreadback work? Some brokers will grant you a cash back (sometimes called "spread back" called). For example, if you get 20% spread back / cash back, and is the spread at your purchased currency pair is 5 pips, then you will be reimbursed back 1 pip.
