Shannon and I did get out on one full day ride this year. I believe it was Monday September 14th. We did the famous Portland -> Cougar -> Mt St. Helens -> Carson loop on our Motorcycles. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better day. This was Shannon's first day ride since getting her bike back in March and she did quite well. Never going slow to the point that I wanted to go home. The few times I opened up and left her in the dust I never had to wait more then five minutes for her to catch up...I was very much impressed. We didn't quite make it all the way up to Windy Ridge which is the defacto destination for the route, since we got going kinda late. And if we had rode any farther that day Shannon said she would have killed me. We simply pulled up a log on the side of the road at the Clearwater look out and ate lunch. The ride home was split up by a stop in Carson to visit with my Aunt Marlene. It was nice being more use to riding this time. When I did this ride last summer after only puting 500 Miles on a bike I wanted to die from pain after then first 100 Miles. This time around I did not feel uncomfortable until the late evening on I-84 coming home. This really makes me want to get a new seat for my bike. I feel I could have gone a couple 100 more miles that day if I was sitting on something more ergonomically correct. At the airport we were greeted by many men trying to give you free taxi rides and discounts on activities by going on tours of their hotels they work for. The tours are actually attempts to sell timeshares to the many resorts in the Los Cabos area. I fell for the ploy and committed to a tour on Thursday. In exchange we were going to get a sunset dinner cruise, $100 credit to the spa and a glass bottom boat tour. We were then driven to our motel. The roads are under construction and drivers don’t seem to follow any sort of rules of the road. It was the day before the hurricane and it was raining and the wind was staring to blow, so the business' and homeowners were boarding up all the windows. Many of the houses didn’t have glass in the windows. We arrived at our hotel about 4:00pm. La Finistera is a very generic resort but they were very nice to decorate our room in true honeymoon fashion, flower petals, chocolate strawberries and champagne. Nothing immaculate, just Mexican décor. We took our bags to our room add went to the Wale Watchers Bar for dinner. Margaritas, tacos and enchiladas started our Mexican va
