Nearly nine years after Jennifer was taken from our midst the Board of Directors, who guided the creation and operation of the Jennifer Stowers Quintal Education Foundation, has made the critical decision to cease operations.  The Board is satisfied that the work that has been accomplished by the Foundation has been significant and hundreds children have benefited from its operation during this period.  
The Board set out to develop programs that would serve children in memory of Jennifer and it identified its primary fiscal goal that would help to provide those programs.  The secondary fiscal goal was to eventually establish a scholarship program to help other students who were similarly dedicated to work with Jennifer’s inner city children, their families and their communities.  This scholarship program would project itself into the future  to continue Jennifer’s mission and legacy of saving the world, one child at a time through the work of other like-minded people.  The time had come for this 100% volunteer operation to execute its plan for the future. 
We are  leaving most our “old” website up although much of it will no longer apply as all Foundation activities will have ceased by December 31, 2011.  The endowment, however, is new and that will last for decades, if not into perpetuity.
The Board of Directors of the JSQ Foundation and Jennifer’s family would like to thank each and everyone who has offered support, in any and all of its forms, for the many successes we have enjoyed during the tenure of the organization.
