Siding that is thin is more delicate and it requires proper handling before it is installed. Thin fiber cement siding is prone to breakage if it is not handled correctly.
After the sheets of siding have been cut, two people will be needed to install the siding. One person will need to hold the siding in place, while another person nails the product in place.
Cutting fiber cement so that it will fit to size can be a complex procedure without the proper tools. A mechanical saw or metal shears can be used to cut the siding in several ways:
•    Sheets that are thin can be cut with a blade and then snapped.
•    Sheets that are thick must be cut with a mechanical saw that uses a Masonry blade (diamond blade)
