Keynote Speakers Gregg C. Sayre Commissioner, New York State Public Service Commission Gregg C. Sayre was appointed Commissioner of the New York State Public Service Commission on June 21, 2012. Mr. Sayre's term began on July 9, 2012. His term runs through February 1, 2018. >>read more Prior to starting with the Commission, Mr. Sayre was Associate General Counsel of Frontier Communications Corporation. While at Frontier, Mr. Sayre was responsible for all regulatory legal issues and proceedings in New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Indiana. Mr. Sayre began his career with a law firm in Portland, Oregon. Later, he became an attorney in the Rates Division of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Law Bureau, primarily litigating rate-of-return rate cases filed by electric utilities. After leaving the Pennsylvania Commission, Mr. Sayre worked as a regulatory attorney for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Cos. Subsequently, he joined Frontier’s predecessor company, Rochester Telephone Corporation. In addition to his employment at Frontier, Mr. Sayre has done extensive work with the New York Bar Association's Public Utility Law Committee. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) appointed Mr. Sayre to the Federal-State Joint Conference on Advanced Telecommunications Services, a forum among the FCC, state regulators, and local and regional entities regarding the deployment of advanced telecommunications capabilities. Mr. Sayre obtained his B.A. degree from Grinnell College, his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School, and a Master of Science in Information Technology degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Sayre was admitted to the bar in 1975. Mr. Sayre and his wife, Susan, reside in Fairport, NY. They have three grown children. Mr. Nick Wagner Commissioner, Iowa Utilities Board Nick Wagner officially began serving as a member of the Iowa Utilities Board on May 24, 2013. Governor Terry Branstad appointed Wagner to fill a term ending on April 30, 2019. >>r
