The entire pipe is 41 miles long running from Semmes, Alabama to Chevron in Pascagoula. Almost half of the 41 mile stretch is running through Mobile County, however the controversy about this pipeline, in Mobile County, centers over the proximity to the watershed. Semmes, Alabama mayor Judy Hale has issued a stop-work order on that portion of the project.
