Dear Friend,
Thank you for your support in Tuesday’s election and the confidence you showed in us. With the campaign now over, we are eager to get to work on the issues that you want addressed in Trenton.
Since the start of our campaign, we spoke with hundreds of people across this district who told us about the challenges they and their families face—and what they expect from their state government. As your new representatives in the State Assembly, we will see to it that those issues get the attention they deserve, and that we make the hard decisions required to make New Jersey a  more affordable place to live and work.
As we walked from home to home in all 19 Camden and Gloucester County towns in our district, you told us you were fed up with high taxes and wasteful government spending. We couldn’t agree more. Government must be made to live within its means, just like you and your families do. And we have got to provide significant tax relief for the homeowners and business people in this state.
Our obligation is to you — not the special interests. And we will work to meet that obligation by ending the wasteful spending that drives up your taxes, and making state government responsive and accountable to you. We will also work to create new jobs and promote targeted redevelopment to jump-start South Jersey’s economy; upgrade our schools so that our children have the skills to succeed; and ensure access to affordable, quality health care.
Real progress can be made on these issues only if Democrats and Republicans work together for the common good. You can be assured that as your representatives we will work in a bipartisan way with the new governor for the benefit of this region and the state.
You sent us a strong message on Election Day, and we will make sure it gets heard in Trenton. We are privileged to have the opportunity to represent you. Our doors will always be open, and your concerns and ideas always welcome.
