Will 16K TV Become A Reality?
With HD TV now commonplace in most homes and 4K TV now being pushed as the new standard for HD Television, we have all got used to the ever increasing picture quality of our TVs.
HD ushered in the new age of TV and 4K is carrying on that process.
Gone are the days of fuzzy, indistinct images and almost unreadable text.
Now we have pin sharp images and text that is easy to read without suffering eye-strain and headaches.
The Next Step
Things seem to be really speeding up in the TV Resolution stakes! 
No sooner has 4K TV started to become the ‘standard’ in the home and in commercial environments, than a newer, even higher resolution TV format appears!
8K TV is still very expensive, but can support screens of truly enormous dimension.
Wall sized displays in the 8K format are so sharp they appear to be as clear as real life, it is said.
Indeed, some people have said that 8K is so sharp and clear that a higher resolution is unnecessary.
16K – The Step Beyond
But now a new format of HD TV is being developed – 16K TV.
This has a resolution so sharp that one can only wonder if it will ever become a reality.
But then, that has probably been said of just about ever technology in the past.
Who would have thought we would be able to carry around in our pockets phones with the sort of computing power that would have needed a purpose-built computer the size of a small house – to come even close. 
And even then it wouldn’t have been able to take a photo!
Cutting-edge technology tends to find it’s way into our lives at an ever increasing rate.
16K TV could go the same way.
Maybe not in the home, but certainly in commercial situations where large screens can be really useful.
Imagine a huge display at the far side of a sports arena where even the smallest text was perfectly clear and readable.
And you could see every line on a players forehead.
That’s assuming your eyesight was good enough to take advantage of it, of course!
One thing is almost certain though, and that is if  TV resolution can be increased it almost certainly will be! 
32K TV, anyone?
