HomeWhy Now?Question 3AQuestion 3BVolunteerFAQ Why Was This Site Created? The Elizabeth School board has directed that two questions be placed on the Elbert County ballot this November. These two measures are:3A - a request for a short term Mill Levy Override to partially replace reductions in state funding that are impacting the quality of education in our district, and3B - a request to authorize the district to borrow funds to address critical and urgent infrastructure needs.Together, passage of these measures will do much to preserve past taxpayer investment in our school facilities and ensure that our students continue to receive a quality education in a safe and secure environment. This website was developed to provide information to the voters of the Elizabeth School District in support of these measures. You can use the button to the left to donate using secure PayPal or Credit Card. Or use the button on the right to make a donation for a specific campaign requirement. Local Citizens, Teachers, and Students Speak Out! In this short video we hear from those most effected why VOTING YES on 3A and 3B is so important to our community Endorsements: “Our family has seen firsthand the negative effect of high teacher turnover due to low wages. It’s made significant cuts, including major cuts to central administration, increased class sizes, delayed replacing outdated technology and transportation, and held off on major facility repairs. It’s also drawn down its emergency reserves. Additional local support is critical at this point. It’s important to me that all of the money from these measures comes directly to the Elizabeth School District and does not filter through the state.”— Ray Allen, District Resident, Retired“Ballot Questions 3A and 3B allow us to make a strong statement as a community. Voting “YES” says you value education and believe that it is a local responsibility to ensure we prepare this generation for the future—theirs and ours. It is a small price to pay to ensure our students are well served, and our community remains strong.”— Jenny West, District Resident & Business Owner"When I first engaged this issue I too was skeptical. So I went to the meetings, asked the questions, got logical, honest answers, studied the numbers, and concluded that due to a lot of factors, not the least of which is legislature cheating our
