Ariel Atom – the Unique Sport Vehicle

The Ariel Atom, undergoing 3 different models and having a unique design, is one of the sports cars made in England by the Ariel Motor Company.  The exoskeleton is clearly visible and the car lacks a roof, door or windows but is still an on road car.  This makes is generally difficult to drive on wet rainy days or in harsh weather conditions.  The range of motors offers a large amount of power for a little car such as this.  It is designed with only 2 seats and has no storage compartments.  Safety of the vehicle is not really known as extensive safety testing has not been done but those who own such vehicles are sure to drive safer to protect their investments.
Less than 100 of these vehicles are manufactured this year and a US Based manufacturer went into a deal with the Ariel Motor Company to produce them in the US.  There is also an electric motor based vehicle called the X1 that uses the Ariel Atom as the base unofficially, but is able to reach speeds of 60 miles per hour in fewer than 3 seconds.  There are several people who would enjoy this vehicle and it is surely an option for those who have the funds to spend on such a unique sport vehicle which is designed to be used on the road.  Taking advantage of getting on the list of receivers of such vehicles is important and allows you to become a specialized member of the AAOC.

The Ariel Atom is a high performance sports car made by the Ariel Motor Company headquartered in Somerset, England. The uniqueness of the car comes from the fact that it is exoskeletal, meaning the chassis is prominently visible from the outside, so it therefore lacks a roof, windows, and other features that rod cars normally have.
The stripped-down motor was made famous on the renowned show Top Gear, when Jeremy Clarkson drove one while having his mouth open. This completely changed the shape of his face due to the car’s  speed. Consequently, the Ariel Atom was ranked the fastest road-legal car that met the Power Lap requirements, with a lap time of 1:15.1, beating 2nd-place McLaren.
