They loved the people and the process so much they decided they needed to expand. However, not wanting to destroy the historic integrity of the Jens Nielson home they decided to build outside the historic district. Landing them on the west end of Bluff they started with 5 Executive Cabins and an office cabin in 1997.... Checkout the views from everywhere; the fitness room, the pool, the beautiful restaurant. And enjoy the wild mushroom ravioli and delightful restaurant staff. We travel frequently and our recent visit to Bluff, Utah was a pleasant surprise for both of us. We LOVED the Desert Rose! We stayed in Executive Cabin #3 and felt like we were on our own private island. The cabin was very comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and having our nightly adult beverage purchased from the K&C store down the street. We had seen a Navajo Basket collection on display at the St. George museum back in December from the Twin Rocks Trading Post and have been wanting to visit that area for a couple of months and finally made the time to go. We got several treasures from the Trading Post and also toured Bluff Fort. You could tell how much effort is put into preserving the past and we were very touched by the story of the Pioneers who settled Bluff City. The presentation is a bit long, but definitely worth the time! And make sure to get a Prairie Diamond Ring for your sweetie! ;) The Sand Island Petroglyphs about 5 miles down the road were interesting and there is also a great place to launch rafts and Kayaks onto the San Juan River from there.
