Dear colleagues, Dear friends,
Needless to recall that interventional pulmonology has become a very attractive and growing part of Pulmonology over the last decades thanks to new innovative techniques focusing not only central airway but also mediastinal, peripheral airway and parenchymal diseases.
The European Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (EABIP) is the society in Europe, promoting Interventional Pulmonology. The society is related with the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP). 
The EABIP has now built strong foundations, a worldwide recognized official journal (Respiration, Karger editor), and a very successful congress held every two years.
The new Bolliger Awards will reward young physicians selected for innovative researches, during upcoming congresses, based on abstract submissions.
Our primary goal mission is to enhance multidisciplinary and international collaboration in our quest to develop, evaluate, and disseminate techniques, procedures, and cases that will benefit patients.
Our new objectives will be to collaborate more closely with each European country, thanks to its national representative, in order to identify their need in terms of education and training. Indeed, there is in Europe a large heterogeneity of practice and training according to each country. The EABIP will help each national association willing to acquire state of the art practice.
New benefits to become EABIP member are in process such as an “Ask the experts” section.
EABIP members come not only from Europe but also from all over the world, so wherever you are, we hope that you’ll join the EABIP in order to share, stimulate and increase our common interest in Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.
