ENLOP
ENLOP, an abbreviation for Entrepreneurial Network of Leading Organizations and People, is a business ecosystem that enables any organization to “plug in and run” immediately. In particular, we are focused on helping Japanese companies set up a business base in Singapore and subsequently, to the rest of Southeast Asia.
By leveraging on our networks and the vibrant, FDI-friendly ecosystems of Singapore, we are able to provide direct access to the best players in almost any industry. This means that we are not only able to aid companies in venture creation, but are also able to help them innovate and transform, or even accelerate their business expansion plans from Day 1.
Strategically headquartered in Singapore, we serve as the representatives of our clients to:
Identify and enter into preliminary discussions with potential strategic partners;
Set up a conducive business ecosystem; and
Map out a feasible business expansion plan.
About Us
ENLOP is the brain-child of Singapore-based Origgin Pte Ltd and Japan-based ICMG Consulting, the former an accelerator focusing on tech start-ups and the latter a prominent consultancy group in Japan. Essentially, ENLOP is the execution partner of ICMG and will adopt a modular plug and play approach by providing clients with tailored resources that meets their needs.
Although recently founded in early 2017, ENLOP seeks to be the number 1 business ecosystem in Singapore to help Japanese companies, MNCs and start-ups alike, achieve success via our unique business model. We hope to be known as a ‘Bloominator’ – a blend of blossom and accelerator, inspired by the cherry blossoms of Japan that signify the arrival of Spring.
OUR FOUNDER
The founder of ENLOP is Mr Clarence Tan, a serial entrepreneur who has launched several technology start-ups since 1993. He was the founder and Executive Deputy Chairman of GlobalRoam Group Ltd, which provides integrated communications technology to telecommunication companies in the region.
Clarence is also a board member of STT Connect, as well as a director of ICMG Financial Services (“ICMG”), a Japanese consultancy firm whose clients are Japanese MNCs.
Clarence has extensive connections with various government bodies via his many appointments, such as The Phoenix Mentor in 2003 by the Phoenix Award Committee chaired by EDB. The main role of the Phoenix Mentor then was to mentor founders of Start-up companies.
He was also appointed as the 1st Vice President of the Innovators and Entrepreneurs Association (iDEA) in 2001 and served as Council member for the Innovators’ Club (under the then National Science and Technology Board) in 1999. In that same year, he was also appointed by Productivity Standard Board (PSB) into the SME 21 Sub-Committee to propose changes in policies that would help local SMEs in extending the reach beyond the loca
