1. Calcite Flooring Tiles
Calcite-based flooring, such as marble, travertine and limestone floors, exudes a charming, elegant appearance. They appear cool, hard and smooth to the eyes. However, marble floors are problematic when it comes to cleaning. Grime can easily spread around the trenches. You’ll also need the proper cleaning materials to ensure that there is no distortion in their natural designs. They are also the most expensive type of flooring available.
2. Granite Flooring Tiles
Granite tiles are very durable, hard and are virtually indestructible. Granite tiles do not etch or have stains just like marble tiles do. However, you’ll need to polish granite tiles occasionally. There are a great number of designs customers could choose from. However, the main trouble with granite flooring tiles is that it can be quite heavy to install on your own or without special equipment.
3. Slate Tiles
Slate floor tiles are very unique types of tiles. They appear opposite of calcite flooring tiles as they look rugged and “old-fashioned” in their designs. As unique as it is, it ca be difficult to maintain. You’ll need to “seal” the tiles to prevent it from staining. It’s finish can contract dirt easily. Acidic elements can cause corrosion with the tiles as well. But rest assured that they are tougher than calcite tiles. However, they are also ill-advisable for wide flooring areas because it is difficult to maintain.
