September's Note from Charlie
Happy Labor Day! What a summer it has been. Hot, humid and dry are words I've used all to often. How about a change of venue? Cool, breezy and moist sounds fine right about now. The Nissitissit and Squannacook are at all time 66 year record lows. I think Mother Nature may be mad at us. Send her a postcard requesting some rain and I'll pay the postage!!
We usually stock the rivers at the end of September or beginning of October each year. I sure hope we have some water in the streams to accommodate the fish. Pray for Rain!!
I'm on the way to Colorado September 10th thru September 17th. The fly shop will be closed during that time. So adjust your purchase needs realizing no one will be here to help you. There will be stories to tell, lies to perpetuate and memories to be shared when I return from Colorado.

If you think buying from the mega fly fishing stores will get you better pricing, compare our prices on all products. Charlie did an analysis and found his prices were much better across the board. 
Don't be fooled by the megastore image. Their overhead is enormous and someone has to pay for that! In addition, you get to see, touch, and feel the products at Evening Sun before you buy. The big bonus is there are no shipping charges.
