Once SCA goes into effect on September 14, 2019, online payments will require additional customer authentication. Transactions that don’t adhere to the new guidelines may be declined by your customers’ banks. This regulation applies to transactions where both the business and the cardholder’s bank are located in the European Economic Area (EEA).A new version of Zinfonia is currently being testing and will be rolled out next weekend that should work within this framework.The new option uses the the Stripe Checkout facility which provides more branding options (including complete corporate logos): see https://dashboard.stripe.com/account/branding for more information.The integration also allows me to pass on more information about the requests that will be included in the Metadata section of your Stripe payments screen to make it easier to match payments with transactions.I will let you know when the new version is live, and I encourage you all to test it with your own systems to make sure that your customers will not be impacted by the changes.Please let me know if you or any of your customers experience problems with Stripe payments in the coming weeks.Posted in Update, Zinfonia|Comments Off on Important Stripe UpdateHLMSW Version 8.00 (Build 8.14)Posted on July 30, 2019 by btmiAn update in coming which has features that will help larger HLMSW installations manage their users and connected software along with a bunch of new features and bug fixes.Managing HLMSW UsersIf you ever have to log into HLMSW using a different identity (to open up a different HLMSW collection or Company file) some changes in build 8.14 of HLMSW will make things a little easier.  It is now possible to group your HLMSW keys into logical folders which are displayed on the HLMSW Login screenAll you need to do to enable this is to put your .HLMSWKey files into separate named folders in the HLMSW Key location, and the folders will be displayed.  HLMSW remembers your selections for each folder and so switching between companies is a lot less complicated for system administrators.This functionality is enabled by default for any installations with multiple Companies, and as part of the installation process, a new set of HLMSW keys will be generated, all of which will be saved in folders by the Company name.To generate a new set of logins to take advantage of this feature do the following:In the HLMSW
