Breads, sandwich fillings, handmade cupcakes and other special Easter goodies. We all helped out in the kitchen, preparing our special tea; buttering bread and mashing eggs, setting the table, making tea for the grown-ups in our favourite mugs and pouring apple juice for the children. We tucked into a feast of sandwiches filled with pastrami & mustard, egg & cress, ham & tomato and soft cheese & cucumber. We couldn’t resist the temptation of delicious scones filled with seedless raspberry jam and freshly whipped double cream and the handmade cupcakes we’d each chose from the patisserie counter were divine. To end our feast we shared our first Easter egg of the year.Needless to say we were all happily full afterwards, with plenty leftover for supper… and beyond. How about creating your own little bit of magic this Easter hosting your own special tea party? If you have a spare chair and a tea cup & saucer I’d be happy to tag along too! Disclosure – Waitrose provided us with a voucher to spend on goodies for our afternoon tea party.{ 0 comments }Silent Sundayby Insomniac Mummy on March 16, 2014Visit Jay for more Silent Sunday.{ 0 comments }A digital postcard from Team Honk in Tanzania – International Women’s Day 2014 – #LastingChange #IWD2014by Insomniac Mummy on March 8, 2014Team Honk is about bloggers raising money and awareness for Comic Relief.
