HOME DONATION CONTACT US SERVICES ABOUT US TESTIMONIAL Home Jamisons’ Center of Kindness is a nonprofit organization, which provides services for abused citizens in the community of Texarkana, Arkansas. Jamisons’ is organized to aid and assist senior citizens, battered women and children in relief from abusive family and living lifestyles. In achieving this goal it works along with existing government operations which are designed for similar purposes. The Center goes into greater depths in educating and assisting its clients by offering greater sources of help and support that other facilities lack the manpower to offer. This is accomplished through primarily volunteers, who have already been successful in restructuring their lives from similar situations. The vision of the organization is to build lives and equip individuals to fulfill their purpose and destiny today, that they will positively impact the generations to come. Great strides are being made to address our client segment, as it is often gone unnoticed or even ignored in the community. Jamisons’ Center of Kindness works closely with government senior citizen programs and nursing homes to address these issues. Educational needs are met in a safe environment, where confidentiality is of the utmost importance, at our home office, in the historic district of Texarkana. Clients are educated in development and recovery of of abuse. In fulfillment of its mission, Jamisons’ Center of Kindness helps abused citizens deal with the difficulties of getting out of, and staying out of abusive relationships and environments, and becoming fully functioning members of society. It addresses the root-causes of levels of frustration identified as known “catch 22” situations of abuse recidivism, or excuses for abused citizens to resume abusive circumstances. As clients recovery needs are met, they are taught job skills, coping skills and lifestyle changes to meet their goals. Self-esteem concerns and challenges in their lives are addressed, on an individual basis, in order that they may be successful and maximize their potential as human beings. Jamisons’ Center of Kindness welcomes you in joining our effort to combat abuse and helping us create a better community.
