JFab Dot Com Proudly presenting the InterWeb's most useless content since 1998! Wednesday, August 29, 2012 Looking for a part... Hey all... Looking for the bottom section of the Oil Bath Air Cleaner assembly for a 1948 CJ-3A. This is for HIS Jeep, not mine. My uncle has owned this Willys for nearly 35 years. He used to use it regularly, until the block cracked. He's going to repair it, but he's missing the bottom of the oil bath air cleaner (likely due to his OTHER nephew taking it apart and losing it -- long story). Anyway, I think that he's getting inspired to get it rolling when I tell him about my CJ5 project, and I told him I'd look for the bottom piece for him. He's actually pretty internet-savvy -- but, he's lazy... So, if you, or a friend, has one of these lying around your shop, I'd appreciate you dropping me a line. I know we can by repro, but I am trying to get him to keep this one all-original. There's a picture of him with the Jeep as it sits now. And, no, it's not for sale. I'ts been in a box in the attic of my garage since I pulled it. I am probably going to sell it at some point. If you want to go all-original and you're in need of one, shoot me an offer. It could probably use a rebuild, but it was working when I pulled it.
