Tomorrow Liverpool and Tottenham play a championship football game here and the city is packed with fans for the game. Made finding a hotel difficult and expensive. We are here for some sightseeing and to catch a flight back to California in a few days. Saw a doctor in Madrid and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. It’s about a four day walk from Santiago, but we have both been recovering from colds, so we have been resting and took a two hour bus ride instead.  #CaminodeSantiago #CaminoFrances #CaminoFrances2019 #WayofStJamesToday we reached Santiago de Compostela and finished the Camino. We went to the Pilgrim Office to get our “Compostela,” which is a certificate of completion for the Camino. 1,073 other pilgrims arrived in Santiago by 2pm, so the line in the Pilgrim Office took some time, but the whole process was pretty orderly. #CaminodeSantiago #CaminoFrances #CaminoFrances2019 #WayofStJamesMonte do Gozo, a monument commemorating a visit by Pope John Paul II, a few miles outside Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
