The IYPT, or International Youth Physisists Tournament, is a challenging physics competition for high school students. The competition was founded in Russia, in 1988, but quickly expanded to include countries from all around the world. During the competition, students present their work on 17 physics problems in front of an opposing team and a jury. They must then discuss their solutions with the opposing team. The jury will then grade the teams on the solution and the physics discussed. 
In 2012, I participated and represented Sweden in the 25th edition of the tournament in Bad Saulgau, Germany. In summer of 2015, I was a team leader for Sweden the 28th tournament in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. To read more about my experience, click here.
I have always been interested in science and the way physics, math and technology have completely changed the way we see the world today. Scientific research has lead to many discoveries and inventions that have revolutionized our everyday lives. Therefore, I believe that recognizing and appreciating these discoveries is important. The Nobel Prize is a well-known ceremony that is dedicated to awarding significant discoveries in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature, Peace, and Economics. My mom is an important part of my life. She has been my best friend and my best teacher, thst has shaped and has guided me to be the person I am today. 
Every year I learn to appreciate her more and more, as well as all of her efforts that she has made for me.

Education should be free and accessible for everybody. This is exactly what Coursera and other online learning platforms aim to do. Coursera has a wide variety of courses from top universities around the world, in several different languages. The courses cover everything from computer science to history. I myself have taken several courses on Coursera and am very pleased with both the layout of the site and presentation of the online courses, as well as the course material itself.
After taking a course called Internet History, Technology, and Security, my mother has also started to use Coursera, but to this day, IHTS remains her favorite course. She says that it was the best course she has attended in her life, even after 26 years of studies.
