Hi, everyone–
It’s hard to believe fall is already here and winter is on the horizon!  Where has the year gone?
I’m proud to participate in a multi-author blog tour called Hold Onto the Light. During the months of September and October, sci-fi and fantasy authors are blogging mental wellness, mental illness, depression, suicide prevention, domestic violence intervention, PTSD treatment and related issues.  My blog will go up October 26 on my personal blog and on the Romance Bandits site.  Check back for a live link, which will also be in my Twitter feed and on my Facebook author page.
September and October are mental health awareness months.  My extended family has dealt with depression, PTSD, and other issues addressed in this campaign.  I hope you’ll check us out!

In writing news, unexpected problems pushed The Herald of Day back again, but this is the last delay.  It really will be out soon. I can’t wait!
In case you missed the earlier posts about The Boar King’s Honor, it’s a trilogy about the descendants of a mage named Edmund Mainwaring. Edmund trusted the wrong man and unwittingly helped murder Richard III’s nephews, who’re known as The Princes in the Tower.  Richard III was wrongly blamed, so the Mainwaring heirs are cursed until they clear the king’s name.
Lifting the curse is the goal in each book, but the characters also face larger problems.  In Herald, a powerful wizard has changed the history of England to set up a dictatorship of the Gifted.  The second book, The Steel Rose, takes place between Napoleon’s escape from Elba and his defeat at Waterloo, with the fate of Europe at stake.  The story wraps up in The King’s Champion.  Set in 1940 between the Dunkirk evacuation and the start of the Blitz, it’s about a German plan to invade England.

A friend put me in touch with someone who’s helping with the research for the next Light Mage Wars book, Nemesis. I’m eager to put Tasha and Carter’s story out in the world, but I won’t do it until I can be sure the story is accurate.
Once Nemesis  is out, I’m looking forward to writing Avenger, a novella featuring Sybil from Renegade. In between books, I’ll have a few shorts, including another Christmas story, &
