5th Annual Post-Winterail Photographer's Special

The special passenger train powered by Western Pacific #918 will depart Sunol depot at 9:30am for Niles. On the return trip from Niles the passenger train will be greeted by a freight train powered by Clover Valley Lumber Company #4, the only Baldwin logging mallet operating on the West Coast.
Both trains will perform a number of run-bys deep in the beautiful Niles Canyon. The passenger train should return to Sunol around 1:00pm.

Double Steam Day

Both trains will be pulled by a steam locomotive! This year's event will feature Robert Dollar #3 and Clover Valley #4.
#4, the only Baldwin logging mallet operating on the West Coast, turns 90 this year! Come take a ride with us, and celebrate the #4’s birthday.

Saturday, June 7, 2014 through Sunday, June 15, 2014
On the weekends there will be five operating steam locomotives, Quincy Railroad #2, Robert Dollar #3, Clover Valley #4, PLUS visiting locomotives Mason County #7, and Santa Cruz Portland Cement #2 ("The Chiggen"). On Saturdays, Hearst Flyer trains will be powered by Mason County #7, and Sunday Hearst Flyer trains will be powered by Santa Cruz Portland Cement #2 ("The Chiggen").
During the week, special railfan/photographer's trains will be operating.
