About NSWE
International Department of Qingdao Overseas Chinese School
In 2004, Qingdao Overseas Chinese School was born. At that time, we saw that a lot of Chinese students hoped to have an international education, but many western international schools did not suit their needs. As well as that, we saw a lot of foreign students who wanted to receive Chinese education. But they were unaccustomed to Chinese schools. In order to satisfy these two groups of students, we built New Sino-Western Co. Ltd.
Qingdao Overseas Chinese School combines Chinese and Western management styles. It follows a rigorous Chinese tradition, but also blends itself with the flexibility of western management. The curriculum overlays Chinese and American courses. In its teaching team, the Chinese and foreign teachers’ ratio is 3 to 2. In our school, not only can students finish the courses required by the Chinese government, but they can also earn an American Graduate Diploma. Here, students can experience the special curriculum that combines Chinese and western education styles.
Last but not least, as the only test center in China, here, students can also have the opportunities to study AP courses and the credits earned will be recognized by western universities. What students gain in our school that combines Chinese and western education will be very different from those in common Chinese schools, because at NSWE, students also absorb a western way of thinking. On the other hand, what students gain here is different from normal international schools, because here, they can understand Chinese culture and philosophy. They will be unique international citizens, uniting Chinese and western cultures.
