The project is expected to create 50 new jobs. The investment was encouraged through a $100,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund, and a $130,000 in the Tobacco Region Opportunity Fund. Novatech Group is also eligible to receive state benefits and employee training activities through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program. Virginia was one of seven states competing for this project.TweetDecember 14, 2016    Siemens plans to add as many as 700 jobs at its Walpole plantGerman industrial giant Siemens AG plans to expand its laboratory diagnostics manufacturing plant in Walpole, Massachusetts. The board voted to approve a $300 million expansion and the addition of 400 to 700 jobs over the next decade. The vote came after Massachusetts state officials awarded Siemens and Walpole a $4.2 million package of tax breaks, infrastructure outlays, and training grants.
