Director
Welcome to PMMC's English Medical 
Degree Program at Latina University of Panama. The members of the faculty, 
and I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you plan for your future 
as a medical doctor.  We offer a high quality Medical degree program that is 
based on an English Curriculum.  Our program mirrors the current 
Spanish-based Medical Degree program, which has launched the successful 
careers of hundreds of physicians since the university opened its doors in 
1994.  Many of the graduates of the university now practice medicine, 
surgery and the sub-specialties in Panama, the United States, and Europe 
while others have returned to their native countries.
Our program is unique, dynamic, 
and is supported by an outstanding medical science faculty and clinical 
staff. The university has invested heavily in new state-of-the-art 
technologies to provide the most current educational tools to develop the 
medical knowledge and clinical skills of each student.
Our dedicated 
teaching staff and relatively small classes provide an environment which is 
excellent for learning and ultimately the best preparation for USMLE I.

The campus is equipped with 
wireless broadband technology for ease of access to study materials, and the 
most current medical literature. We have recently unveiled a new clinical  simulation laboratory which will give our students the opportunity 
to apply their medical science knowledge to clinical situations. Through its 
vast database of medical, surgical and specialty scenarios, this  
simulation laboratory, equipped with several simulators, will allow each 
medical student to develop the clinical knowledge and clinical skills 
essential for hospital clerkships, and for the preparation for USMLE II and III.
Clinical hospital rotations are 
required to be completed in Panama.  However, students who plan seek 
residency training in the United States will have an opportunity to complete 
additional clinical training in the United States, at leading teaching 
hospitals in Maryland and Georgia.
It is our mission at PMMC/ 
University of Latina De Panama to develop well-rounded physicians, who have 
the knowledge and training to meet the medical needs and challenges of our 
global society. It is our desire to provide this training at a cost which 
will be affordable to any student worldwide, who has the passion and 
discipline to follow his or her dream of becoming a physician.
