RRRC News Congratulation to the 2019 RRRC Race Team The RRRC Race Team dominated the 2019 season taking 13 of 18 divisions during the 3-race competition. The 2019 season was a 3-race series with Tri-Cities Road Runners, Fredericksburg Area Run Club, and Richmond Road Runners. We will be expanding our 2020 season with 6 running clubs involved and a 6-race season. Nominations are open for RRRC Officers and Board Members Nominations are now being accepted for the positions of Richmond Road Runners Club president, vice president-operations, vice president-marketing, treasurer, secretary and members of the Board of Directors for the years 2020-2021. Elections will be held during the Club’s Board Meeting on Dec. 11, 2019 at Basic City Beer Co. (212 W. 6th St. in South Richmond, about a block from Legend Brewing Co.). Those elected will begin their term of office the following day.In addition to the officers, the Club's Constitution calls for electing no less than five and no more than 20 other members of the Board of Directors.Please submit any nomination as soon as possible. Each candidate is required to submit a statement not to exceed 250 words giving the candidate’s qualifications for office and interest in serving as an officer or Board member. The statements should be emailed to nomination@rrrc.org.On or before the Board’s Oct. 9 meeting, the Elections and Nominations Committee shall submit to the membership the names of one or more candidates for each officer position and at least five candidates for the position of director. To be eligible to hold any of the elective positions, a club member must have demonstrated interest in RRRC activities by volunteering for at least one Club activity during the current calendar year and by attending at least one Club meeting during that time.Any RRRC member may submit a nomination.
