Its not just a donation, it's an investment in life :) THANK YOU SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN Fundraising Websites - Crowdrise CT Scanner Fundraising Campaign Press Release FOURTH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF TREES AN UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS The St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation would like to announce that the fourth annual Festival of Trees was a huge financial success, making a gross profit of just over $115,000. The exact use of the money raised will be determined at a board meeting in January and will be used to purchase important equipment and fund imperative services at the St. Joseph`s Hospital. Hospital equipment is expensive, and other than on rare occasions, the government does not supply funding for new equipment; this is the sole purpose for the Hospital Foundation, and the reason we work so hard to ensure that fundraisers such as this are a success. The restructuring of this event by plunging into an additional two events (The Seniors Tea and the Father Daughter Gala), as well as adding two special attractions (The Minion Dance Party and Whoville), was a proven success, and has shown that Estevan now has a true annual Christmas Festival. Planning for the 2017 Festival of Trees will begin in February. For the first year, this event used an online volunteer system, and needed over 250 volunteers to be successful. The St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation would like to thank everyone who volunteered in any capacity. Volunteers keep Southeast Saskatchewan strong, and without the help of those who give their time, events like this would not be possible. The St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation would also like to thank the City of Estevan for their hard work, partnership and cooperation during this event This year, the Festival had 4 events packed into 3 days. The event kicked off on Friday with a Seniors Tea, where the guests viewed the Trees and enjoyed live entertainment, tea and Christmas treats. On Friday, the event hosted the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies”, where the Fathers and Daughters entered the magical fairyland, and enjoyed a meal, crafts, activities and performances by the Drewitz School of Dance, including a piece from the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies. The Grinch, Santa and 15 magical Fairies were all in attendance, keeping the girls entertained for the entire evening. On Saturday night, Rory Allen and his 11 piece band pu
