You've reached www.slac.com, and -- you got us -- perhaps we are the droid you're looking for. For those that do not know, slac.com basically exists to give a group of friends a nifty and stable e-home; for more information, read about the effort. People we're not. We're not intending to trick anyone. If we did, we'd have some strange name like www.fiona-apple.naked.com and try to make people think we're a porn site. "Slac" seems to indicate the opposite of that. However, you may have us confused with these fine organizations: If you're looking for the Church of the Subgenius, then we're not the droid you're looking for. They spell "slack" with a "k" anyway. You can find them at http://www.subgenius.com/. If you're looking for the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, then we're not the droid you're looking for. We know better than to hurl microscopic objects at mind-numbing speeds. You can put an eye out like that. But if you are looking for those electron-flingers, you can go to http://www.slac.stanford.edu/. (We bet these guys eat paste and run with scissors, too.) If you're looking for information on Student Labor Action Committees, we're not the droid you're looking for. There are quite a few of them out there, and we don't want to link to them all. Here's a representative one from Yale University. Please!
