PATH car 143, 
saved from the ruins of the World Trade Center attack, is to become the centerpiece of a new 9/11 exhibit here at the Trolley Museum.
The hard-working volunteers of the museum still need to raise money to re­coup the expense to ship the PATH car, then raise $200,000+ needed to create a first-class exhibit that will help people for genera­tions to come learn about and reflect upon the events of 9-11-2001.

Directions to the Museum
Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 19, Kingston.
Follow the signs to the His­tor­ic Rondout Waterfront and
the Urban Cul­tur­al Park.  
Make your way to the bottom of Broad­way and turn left.  
We're a quarter-​mile down East Strand on the left. 
Driving time is about 2 hours from Man­hat­tan and 1 hour from Albany.
GPS tips
When punching our address into your GPS, you may need to enter it fully as 89 East Strand Street.
Local people know it as East Strand or even just the Strand and don't think of it as a street.
A common GPS error shows that East Strand and Route 9W intersect; they do not!  
9W is on a bridge over East Strand.
Use Garraghan Drive to turn off 9W.
2016 Information:
Open weekends and holidays, May 7 to Columbus Day, Noon to 5PM, plus special events.
Admission & trolley fare:
Adults $6, kids 6-12 $4, kids up to 5 free.
Admission only (trolley ride not included):
Adults $4, kids 6-12 $2, kids up to 5 free.
Trolley ride:
Departs Downtown (at 1 Broadway & T. R. Gallo Park) at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30pm
and departs Kingston Point at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00pm.
During special events, the trolley schedule may differ.
At the museum:
Upstairs: Exhibits, gift shop, rest rooms, theater and a Brio train set for the kids to play with.  
Air conditioned!
Downstairs: Trolleys from Germany, Belgium, Sweden and Norway on display.
Relax:
Your museum ticket is good all day.  
Bring your lunch or a snack, then sit and relax at the picnic tables av­ail­able at each of the three main stops on the trolley line: 
T. R. Gallo Park (good people and boat watch­ing), Kingston Point (good nature and water sport watch­ing) and the museum itself.
