Building brand value is a major duty of any CEO and in the case of WE.COM it would be a major brand building tool because the brand WE for clothing will instantly jump in value with tens of millions of dollars easily offsetting the cost of the purchase price. This means that the net worth of the WEfashion company will increase easily by a multiple of the purchase price of WE.COM, in other words buying WE.COM costs nothing and in effect pays an immediate dividend. But of course all of this needs to be understood by the management of WEfashion so that WE.COM does not wind up somewhere else in the World with some other company that will not nearly gain as much benefit from buying it as WEfashion will. Another factor is the building of image for the company: Companies with a strong image or reputation attract more customers, retain more customers, and attract better employees.
