    The domain name for many companies should be WE.COM but unfortunately it is something else. WE.COM is currently for sale and it most likely will be purchased by a company with a lot of marketing savvy that understands the enormous marketing value of a brandable domain name. Currently there are over 12 buyers seriously interested in buying this domain name for right around $10 million. We would like to sell it for more of course, but we will accept immediately any offer over $10.4 million. Curiously 4 of these companies are Chinese billionaire companies, maybe because we want to sell WE.CN together with WE.COM.
    In late 2012 and early 2013 we contacted WEfashion.com because we thought that this company would benefit the most from owning WE.COM . We offered it for sale at $16 million to them as a starting offer but they responded with the laughable offer of only $100,000. Unfortunately that company was headed by a CEO that had absolutely no idea about the importance of a highly brandable domain name. They had a horrible website presence at the time and the person in charge of their website design was also clueless. It now appears that this company has a new CEO and a new website designer. That gives me hope that their new CEO might understand that buying WE.COM will give him a legacy forever. It is one of the most important decisions he has to make, buy or not to buy WE.COM .  Building brand value is a major duty of any CEO and in the case of WE.COM it would be a major brand building tool because the brand WE for clothing will instantly jump in value with tens of millions of dollars easily offsetting the cost of the purchase price. This means that the net worth of the WEfashion company will increase easily by a multiple of the purchase price of WE.COM, in other words buying WE.COM costs nothing and in effect pays an immediate dividend.
    But of course all of this needs to be understood by the management of WEfashion so that WE.COM does not wind up somewhere else in the World with some other company that will not nearly gain as much benefit from buying it as WEfashion will.
    Another factor is the building of image for the company: Companies with a strong image or reputation attract more customers, retain more customers, and attract better employees. In short, branding is a key means of achieving differentiation. By communicating a clear and distinctive message and delivering that message, the supplier can increase customer loyalty, sales revenue, prices, and ultimately profitability. In this day and age of the Internet, a good strong domain is the absolute most important factor in image building. The best domains for this purpose must be short and easy to remember. They must be as short as possible to be able to type it quickly into cell phones and tablets without typing mistakes. WEfashion is not short and not immediately easy to remember.
