Facts
Cannabis can refer to both marijuana and hemp.
The difference being that hemp contains only trace amounts of the psychoactive molecule 
Δ9-THC found in marijuana.
In the United States, cannabis was legal until 1937. On October 1, 1937, the US government criminally outlawed the possession and cultivation of cannabis. 
As a result of this, there hav been more that 20 million arrests since 1965. Today there are 850,000 arrests for marijuana per year!
Unfortunately, the United States is one of only a few industrialized nations that presently prohibits the farming of hemp in addition to the cultivation, sale, and use of marijuana.
Fuel
Bio-fuel can be made from the oils contained in both the seeds and stalks of the cannabis plant (hemp).
Filtered hemp oil biodiesel can be used in any conventional diesel engine without modifications. 
The exhaust from hemp biodiesel is accompanied by a pleasant, earthy, scent, rather than the noxious odor produced by petroleum fuels.
Use of biodiesel can extend the life of a diesel engine because it provides more lubrication that conventional diesel fuels. 
In addition, there is virtually no loss in power output.
Hemp biodiesel is safe to store and safe to handle because it is as biodegradeable as sugar and less toxic than table salt.
Pharmacy
Cannabis is nature's medicine. Cannabis contains over 400 compounds. 20% of these compounds are cannabinoids, most of which are medically active. Traditional Chinese medicine lists cannabis as one of the 50 fundamental herbs. Cannabis has been prescribed for centuries for a broad spectrum of human ailments. Current science is validating the medicinal uses of cannabis and finding both effective, and beneficial (often more so than modern medicines) for widely varying health problems. Cannabis does not have to be smoked for its medicinal properties available to the body.
Food
Hemp seed is an exceptional source of protein and all 10 of the essential amino acids. Hemp seed contains a nearly perfect balance of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids (a 3.75:1 ratio with the ideal being 4:1). Hemp seed is also packed with phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, folic acid, vitamins B and E, and chlorophyll. Hemp seed is nutritious, tasty, and easily grown organically and without genetic modifications. In short, hemp is a wonderful food!
Furnishings
Plastic can be made from hemp. While hemp plastic is comparable to other industrial plastics in terms of 
rigidity and heat tolerence, it is unlike othe plastics in that it is biodegradeable, recycleable, and 
can be flame restardant.

Fabrics can be made from the stalks of cannabis plants.

Ingesting cannabis in moderation can be enjoyable. Cannabis is safer than alcohol and tobacco and, when used with respect, can be an enjoyable way to alter consciousness.
