Our Mission:“Genesis Development creates opportunities, choices and support for people with disabilities.” Genesis Development is a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit rehabilitation organization that provides support for people with disabilities. Rehabilitation services are provided through continuing assessments and goal setting. These goals are intended to address the needs and desires of those receiving services. In existence since 1973, Genesis now has facilities in twelve Iowa locations: Jefferson, Storm Lake, Boone, Winterset, Belle Plaine, Indianola, Perry, Adel, Toledo, Panora, Grinnell, and Waukee. Services are being provided to more than 1,600 people throughout Iowa by more than 380 staff members. These goals are developed through feedback from stakeholders (members, families, case managers, etc.) and staff input. Progress is reviewed at the end of each quarter.
