Thirteen Mile Road Suite 215 Farmington Hills, MI 48334 Tel: (248) 538-0900 Fax: (248) 538-0906 GLEC Vibracore Sediment Sampling and Sediment Toxicity Testing Services For over 25 years, GLEC has conducted surface water and sediment quality evaluations, as well as fish, macroinvertebrate, and habitat assessments in conjunction with ecological assessments of rivers, lakes, coastal areas, and wetlands. We have completed hundreds of projects for the USEPA, USACE, MDEQ, and industry throughout the Great Lakes and other U.S. regions. To support contaminated sediment quality assessments, GLEC operates a 26-foot vibracore sediment sampling boat and related sediment sampling equipment. GLEC vibracore projects have ranged from small 10-12 core surveys to large projects requiring the collection of 600 sediment cores. Our Traverse City and Columbus laboratories also provide aquatic toxicity testing, bioaccumulation and bioconcentration studies, and toxicity identification evaluations of surface water systems. NELAP ACCREDITED GLEC operates one of only a few U.S. laboratories accredited for whole sediment toxicity testing. GLEC also maintains NELAP accreditation for chlorophyll and nutrient chemistry testing.
