EVENTS: 30 September - 1 October: Seminar: Human Security Perspectives on Developments in the Middle East As part of the Civil Society Network for Human Security, GPPAC, Human Security Collective and the Global Political Trends Centre (Turkey) organised a seminar in Istanbul, Turkey, on 30 September and 1 October, titled "Human Security Perspectives on Developments in the Middle East". The seminar focused on human security issues as experienced in the Middle East region, and in particular the role of Turkey in addressing these challenges. There were several panels that discussed issues such as the Turkish Kurdish reconciliation process, domestic human security challenges, and regional revolutions and conflicts.
