Karakawa Foundation(KFound) was founded by Karakawa family since 700 with a concept of the Karakawa Foundation 0 Vision in 1700. The Vision is Culture retention/expansion, Social renovation, and Platform development. The mission is producing excellent Co-ordinator for Co-operation, Co-llaboration and Co- mmuinication. The Karakawa Foundation started as volunteered scholarship funding body to develop excellent Karakawa family member but now expanded to other international families after 2000. The Karakawa Foundation now assists and cooperate with publicly available activity like CMI(Crisis Management Initiative, leaded by president Ahtisaari), International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM, U.S. Civil Defense council, FEMA related, Certificate body for Emergency Managers), TIEMS(The International Emergency Management Society, Europe Based), Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA, public utility company consortia), Object Management Group(OMG, standardization body), Guardian Angels (Civilian Powers), NVOAD(National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster), GWU(George Washington University), and disaster response planning programs in The University of North Carolina U.S., and Kuopio University Finland. Karakawa Foundation funded scholarship to develop excellent emergency coordinator with IAEM and related organizations. We now operate internationally, leaded by chairman Yuki N. Karakawa and supported by Secretaries and Special Agents in each region globally.
By urgent international public safety and security demand, Home Islands Security Committee (HI-SC) was founded by Karakawa Foundation as 0Vision activity with Global partners and formed by members for members in Jan. 2003 as the International Volunteered non-Profit and non-government organization. The HI-SC coordinates cross- segmented discussion task force to hedge vertical bureaucratic society problem for crisis response actions. The HI-SC develops guideline and advices to government sector, Public sector and private sector by wide range of expertise for cooperation and collaboration. It has 50 staff with over 200 Subject Matter Expert advisors and linked with over 5000 members with partnership, 2004.
