Site bookings will open as soon as the 2014 site plans have been upgraded. We expect no earlier than November 2013 and no later than January 2014 so be on the lookout for notification!
LOGOV 2012 wrap-up from the manager.
LOGOV 2010 saw the end of the location at Meekin Park Logan and the brave move to Caboolture. While a sad move for some, the space constraints and the massive amount of money needed to repair the grounds from record amounts of rain in 2010, was enough to make the decision clear.
The new location in Caboolture is a private owned piece of land that we can carve up to our hearts content without losing all of the funds we raise for scholarships. Many of you would be unaware that LOGOV is governed by the Institute of Public Works Foundation, a non-for profit entity of the IPWEA (Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia) my employer. IPWEA are also a non-for profit and the same association that run CIVENEX in Sydney.
All funds raised at LOGOV by site rentals go back into the show, to make it the best event possible. Anything remaining goes towards the scholarships awarded by the IPWEA Queensland .
A big congratulations to all who assisted and supported  what was a terrific success, given the hurdles of the big move and the current financial climate. 
The enquiries since last October in regards to “when is the next one”  have been astounding. The strong message being taken away is that LOGOV has found a new home at Moreton Bay Council and it has been heard loud and clear that it must be attended in 2014. It will be a truly great event with missing council’s already throwing their hat back in the ring for 2014 and looking for official dates to budget around.
As promised I have started to keep everyone engaged this year all the way up to the next LOGOV. Thankyou everyone that took part in the Surveys and congratulations to the winners.  Be on the lookout for the online newsletters. Please send me any editorial, photos and generally any good stories that pertain to companies at the 2012 LOGOV , the clients that have been supplied and any jobs or products in use.
