Vladovic, himself a former LAUSD administrator, was re-elected this year and will be sworn in Friday, the same day that Kooper takes on his new job.Local District 8 Superintendent Mike Romero called Kooper an innovator and an instructional leader, saying hes a good fit for Gulf Avenue, which is one of the local districts three remaining year-round schools.
