The Southern Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists is a professional organization formed in 1960 to provide a forum for the exchange of information among technologists, students, lab mangers, physicians, and institutions involved in EEG, evoked potentials, polysomnography, nerve conduction studies, and related electroneurodiagnostics (END). SSET serves its members through an annual meeting, ongoing networking events, information forums, discount programs, and online tools. 2013 CPT Coding Changes
Neurodiagnostics technologists should be aware of several changes to the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code that went into effect on January 1, 2013.  The proposed changes will impact pediatric polysomnography, nerve conductive studies, evoked potentials and intraoperative neurophysiology monitoring. The sections of the document that specifically relate to neurodiagnostic technologists are provided in this action alert. Changes include both the addition and elimination of CPT codes.
