Sublime Boa Constrictor Projects Are Temporarily on Hold due to family and personal issues. Sorry for any inconvenience. My Name is Richard Carew, but I answer to Rick mostly. I'm a Land/Civil/Construction Surveyor by trade, where I usually find myself outdoors with nature and the desert sun. I work for a living, and Boas are a long time hobby and interest. I was formarly going by Sunset BCI, however, due to repeated hate mail over the whole "Sunset" thing, I figured this would be a simple end to my haters. I first got interested in Boa Constrictor in 1975. My Mom would be mostly to blame for that, along with her good friend the late Lloyd Lemke. My first Boa being a WC Imported Sub adult Suriname Boa, compliments of Mr Lemke. I think I was pretty much hooked after that, and soon found myself in love with the Colombian Boa Constrictor, of which I have had many over the years. I'd say my 3 yrs in the US ARMY was probably the most miserable 3 yrs I've had, due to not having any reptiles at all. But it was an honor to do my duty even so. In 1996 I saw my first Albino Boa in a magazine, (yeah, I was slow to the internet) and had to have one. It took me 3 yrs to save up enough money, and I rushed out to Orlando, FL. to what is now, The Daytona Expo, to pick out My Albino in person. I met Pete Kahl, and we had talked a bit, and I picked out a '99 Albino female F3 to his WC male, forked out My life savings to the man, and jumped in my car for the ride home. Somewhere along the way, I woke at sunrise on the side of the road, and pulled out my girl to check on her. The sun hitting her got her named Aurora, and my interst in Boa Genetic Mutations began. My love for the plain old Colombian Boa has not diminished over the years, but my interest, and knoweledge in Boa Morphs, and combining some of these traits has grown a lot. I decided to actually breed for some first hand experience in 2005, producing a litter of Albino and Coral Albinos. I have since moved on to some of the nicest Sunglows I've seen in a while, even if I do say so myself. I plan on playing with the Motley Genes, and Blood Boa genes in the future. I seem to have a thing for these hypererythristic critters with no legs. Remember I said My love for Colombians never diminished? Well, I have other loves too, and will be working with some pure locality animals over time, like Honduran "Fire Belly" Boas, Cayos Cochinos "Hog Island" Boas Boa Constrictor "Pearl island" sabogae, Isla de Maise "Corn island" Boas, and the interest is still growing. I have a particular interest in some of these locales, due to the problems I have read about breeding attempts. I started this breeding stuff to learn some things after all. That being said, I'm sure you will find my pricing to be fair for the quality of animal you will receive. I'm not trying to do this for a living. If I make enough to feed my critters, I'm good with that. Thanks for coming by. Subli
