Professional Summary
Extensive professional experience in design, management and construction of major highway projects.  Design and construction experience consists of eight years with WSDOT in both design and construction and the remainder with consulting firms managing projects for WSDOT, TIB, county and local agencies. Work with Sound Transit included the site development of its operation and maintenance bases in Seattle and Tacoma and the design of ST Express transit centers. Spent several years developing computer models for roadway projects (including projects in Idaho and Alaska) used to determine construction contract quantity estimates. Construction experience includes quality control of materials plant production of HMA, surfacing aggregates and concrete. WSDOT HQ laboratory work was comprised of developing and testing HMA designs for projects throughout the State. Construction inspection experience includes concrete structures and retaining walls, drainage and roadway surfacing.

Served as a design center manager for WSDOT HOV interstate improvement project in Tacoma. In this role, provided quality control services, and coordinated discipline designs into submittal packages. Responsibilities include mentoring design team engineers, developing scope, schedule, budget, and work-plan; managed implementation of work-plans with all the design disciplines.

Managed the development and delivery of transportation design projects in the Lakewood branch office and responsible for the oversight of design and CAD staff.
