After a few seconds I decided to move to my left, one large stride, to see it it was actually monitoring me.As I stepped the other side of a wide wooden pole, the half pod was in position, eye height and just out of reach.I didn’t see it move but it was just appeared there.After several seconds of no movement from either party it just vanished, I can’t say if it moved at lightening speed or just vanished.Santa Cruz, California, USA; 1999On August 28, 2019 By UFO BlogIn California, UFO Sighting, United States of America1 CommentName: AlexisDate of Sighting: 1999 or 2000Location of Sighting: Santa Cruz, caNumber of UFO(s), including the Color(s), Size(s) and Shape(s): 1, unknown shape due to distance, possible circular. Looked like a meteor.Distance of UFO(s) in sky: Far enough to be a shooting starDirection of Travel for UFO(s): Headed south, lowered altitude, changed directions to north, then accelerated south again.Other Known Object(s) (For possible reference, or contrast): NoneFurther Description of Sighting: I was at the bus stop at UC santa Cruz with now husband, then boyfriend. It was evening possible around 9 pm. We were at Porter college which as we were high up on the campus, you can almost see toward the ocean. I was looking at the stars and saw a “shooting star”, except it was changing colors. And it wasn’t really descending as it should it began to head south. At first I thought the colors may have been a result of atmospheric lights, humidity , or simply the burning up of gases as it came into our atmosphere. But , I got my partner’s attention. We questioned that it was a plane or satellite. It continued to change colors and speed and directions. We were both perplexed and yes, sober! It zigzagged a bit leaving trails of color, I remember seeing orange a blue like mini contrails.
