The Youngstown Yacht Club isn’t only home to breathtaking views but also world class racing, near wonderful cruising destinations and host to wonderful regattas and parties!
Youth Sailing
Sailing at the Youngstown Yacht Club is a family affair with our younger sailors taking part in Optimist and 420 regattas throughout the country, as well as being active in our Tuesday and Wednesday night racing.
History of YYC
The Club’s first yacht was the Blue Moon, a New York 30 sloop which dropped anchor off the Club dock on July 2, 1931.  The Youngstown Yacht Club is proud of its heritage, and continues to support the traditions of the sport of sailing in all Club activities.

The Youngstown Yacht is proud to introduce an new event on Lake Ontario called the Unlevel Regatta. This event is for powerboaters and will include on shore and off shore activities. More information will be posted on our website.   To learn more: http://www.yyc.org/sailing/unlevel-regatta/

The Youngstown Jr. Sailing Foundation operates Junior Sailing from the Youngstown Yacht Club.  The Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2014 Summer Classes.
