Me and My Love for Laptops
Unlike kids of my age these days, I ,m not the biggest fan of technology on the whole. I have this love/hate relationship when it comes to dealing with all the gadgets available. I am pretty much comfortable with my old mobile phone that does not have awesome graphics and  the coolest innovation as a lot of my friends would say. A lot of my friend think that I'm a techno-phone, I on the other hand, absolutely disagree with their judgment. I just have this love/hate relationship with all these advancements made available. I say this with conviction because as a blogger and aspiring writer, one of my best-est best friend is named Ryk. He is very essential to my so called career and life. When I was first introduced to Ryk, I was a  bit hesitant and skeptical about him. I was not sure what to make of him. I studied him for quite some time, I tried to understand his complexity and mysterious ways. There were times , I wanted to run away from Ryk but his characteristics and patience, even if I accidentally poured coffee into him a couple of times, made me think twice before doing that. No, I am not talking about a guy, I am talking about my year 3 old laptop.
Ever since I received Ryk from my dad, my life has turned upside down. He has become an appendage of some sorts for me. From my daily activities to work related stuff, he serves and helps me get everything right and on time. Having Ryk is the greatest thing. The reason I decided that it was time to thank my laptop is because I am getting a new 15-inch LED laptop with back-lit glossy wide-screen display,an 8 GB memory, a multi-touch track pad, longer battery life and all the jazz. I am not dumping ryk, he will still be in my room to support me just in case, things don't go well with my new one. I believe that laptops are a necessity now a days and here are just some of the reasons why I find Ryk and laptops amazing.
Top 3 reasons to get a laptop:
1. Portability
With its ultra portability feature, Laptops empowers users. You no longer have to stay in one place while letting thecreative juices flow. You can take your work or assignments everywhere and anytime even in the loo.
2. Manageability
Two of the things that annoyed me about technology was the fear of not being able to thrive on its features and buttons as well as the idea of having a big chunky device dominating my small room. With laptops, I don't have to worry about what cable goes to which hole and the messy wires waiting for me to trip over it.
3. Batteries
Laptops can easily run on charged batteries for a number of hours. So the possibility of losing data or file that one is working on is minimized.
